Continuous Monitoring
Ongoing post-hire re-screening with alerts on new records.
Definition
Continuous monitoring re-checks criminal, motor-vehicle, healthcare-sanction, and OFAC/SDN sources on a defined cadence (typically daily or weekly) and pushes alerts to HR when new records appear. SafestHires offers continuous monitoring for criminal records, MVRs, and OIG/SAM exclusions; FCRA pre-adverse rules still apply when an alert leads to a personnel decision.
Related terms
- MVR — Motor Vehicle Report pulled from a state DMV.
- OFAC / SDN — Treasury sanctions list checked for financial services and healthcare hires.
- OIG / SAM Exclusion — Federal lists of individuals barred from Medicare/Medicaid or federal contracts.
