ICRAA
California's parallel statute to the FCRA for investigative consumer reports.
Definition
The Investigative Consumer Reporting Agencies Act (Cal. Civ. Code §1786) governs investigative consumer reports in California. It overlaps with the FCRA but adds California-specific disclosure language, a seven-year lookback ceiling, and stricter rules for using credit history. ICRAA disclosures must be on a stand-alone document distinct from the FCRA disclosure.
Related terms
