Nevada at a glance
- Report lookback: 7 years (FCRA default). Nevada applies FCRA; sealed records under NRS §179.245 must be suppressed.
- Ban-the-box: Public sector (Executive Order 2017-13). State-agency hiring removed the conviction question in 2017. No statewide private rule.
- Salary history: Banned (SB 293). Employers may not seek wage-history information; must provide pay range on request after the interview.
- Cannabis: Recreational legal; first-30-days protection (AB 132). AB 132 prohibits an employer from refusing to hire based on a pre-employment cannabis test; safety-sensitive, EMT, firefighter, and driver roles are carved out.
